Hello,
Little back story my wife was born and raised in Canada,
She had moved to Australia briefly where we got married after being together for 3 years. She has moved back to Canada and is Working currently and I am looking to move over to be with my Wife and work continuing to work on my career progression within the Engineering Field.
I am an Australian Citizen with a Mechanical Engineering Degree.
As I am under the age of 30 I was wondering if a Working Holiday visa would be best to ensure I can get over to Canada and look for prospective jobs and work while maybe doing some travel within Canada.
I am curious if any restrictions of holiday working visa "is it unskilled labor only?" or of it has any employment restrictions or province restrictions as she is in Edmonton Alberta. Does it allocate you to various parts of Canada or do you have free reign where you choose to go and work? Any other restrictions I should know about?
I am wondering if Partner visa is a better option? if it means I can work also or if I should go down the work visa route. I know this visa can take a lot longer to obtain and generally speaking I will require a letter of employment?
We are not 100% sure if we wish to stay in Canada yet so currently I think possibly a temporary visa will be the most successful/least waiting time as I wish to get over to Canada as soon as possible.
I look forward to hearing back about what visa options are best suited to my situation and any information you can share .
