Visa Granted to My Mother & Refused My Father

Hi There

I need help on my case which sounds really weird to me.

I applied for the visit visa of parents on May 5, 2014. And after waiting for more than 3 months, I finally got the Visa ONLY for my Mother and my Father's application was refused on following grounds:

1. No travel history
2. Not satisfied with Personal financial status
3. Not satisfied with Financial status of Host

Now, this is amazing. Because the income of my husband and myself is pretty good and when my mother has been issued the visa, why not my father???

And, my mother had no travel history at all. But my father had good travel history (although the passport was new and old passport was not submitted with the application)

Further more, it's simply VISIT VISA, not a Super Visa... It doesn't require Personal Financial Status. I am the HOST and I am responsible for all of my parents expenses. And when I submitted all of my and my husband financial support letters then, why the hell they need Personal Financial Stauts.
Any idea, any advice.....

You ALWAYS need to send "proof of financial support"... and no, if you and your husband send a letter saying you will be responsible that is not enough as he is not your dependant.

From CICs point of view your father has no way to support himself (you didn't submit any proof) and he "depends" on your income to sustain himself (you made it clear with your letter), therefore he is very likely to stay permanently with you as you are the ones who give him all the money he can have. CIC needs proof that he is self sufficient even though you are happy to help him. He needs to show that evidence so he can convice CIC he is NOT INTERESTED/HAS NO NEED to immigrate.

As far as why your mother yes but not your father, think of other assumptions you night have made. Most probably you didn't submit enough documentation to support your father's application but it was enough to support your mother's (sometimes CIC denies one to give the approved one a "home tie").
