Visa for a vacation

Happy New year all..
If someone was coming to Canada for a 1 to 2 week vacation would they need to provide the same information as the visitors visa if they came here for 6 months?

yes, the visit visa is issued for 6 months usually. So even if you stay 2 days or 3 months, it's the same and as soon as you exit the country, you have to ask another one (except if you get a multiple entrance one)!!

Yes but to a greater extent. For example, showing you have adequate finances and/or financial support for the duration of your visit is greater on an applicant wishing to stay longer. Longer visit = more money
