Visa expiring, can I stay for an extra 10 days?

NEED HELP

Hi

I am currently on a temporary sponsored visa , this expires when my contract does ( 22nd april) I would like to stay till the 1st may. I wont be working at this time but it will allow me to say goodbye and sort my things out. Am I allowed to stay if I am not working? If not , is there a way i could stay for the extra days?

I would love some feedback or past experience on this.
