VISA Denied

Hi,
My sister lives in Iran and she was denied from receiving the visa to visit Canada because of these two reasons. can any body help me on that?

The visa officer would have liked to see previous travel to other visa-required countries such as the US, UK, Schengen countries, Australia, NZ, etc. Such visits would have proved that you have a history of returning to Iran after short visits abroad.

2) My sister is the President and CEO of a business in Iran. Also, she lives with my mom and Dad who needs her help for their medical issues.

I have submitted my sister travel history, but still I get this reply form the officer.
Please let me know what should I do now? Re apply? if yes, what more supporting documents do I need to submit?

Travel History and Purpose of Visit are generic refusal reasons when the the visa officer is not convinced that the applicant is a genuine visitor.

Also, her passport could be the reason for her refusal as it could seem like she might claim asylum. If her visit is not urgent, you should order GCMS notes before she reapplies.

Please let me know what should I do now? Re apply? if yes, what more supporting documents do I need to submit?

It is almost 5 years that she runs it. She is the owner and manager of a special needs kids. She has her PHD degree.

it was not a business travel. it was for visiting there.

my parents have medical issues which needs my sister to take them to the hospital when needed and taking care of them at home.

5. Does she have a good financial situation, including financial investments, pension funds, etc.... without depending on you?
yes, my sister has a very good income from her business. also, she is the professor of a university teaching part time at a university.

6. What was the purpose of her intended visit and for how long?

Visiting her relatives in Vancouver and visit the places there.

Hi Bryanna does it make difference when the business set up. Like my sister planing to visit me for 2-3 weeks and she lives with my mom also she is the only person take care of her. Do you think it helps, absence of her if we arrange someone to stay with my mom and look after her who will get paid for this 3 weeks. My sister started the business around 6 months or so would that any problem please suggest.

It does matter if the business has been operational since X months or X years. It is similar to someone trying to prove his/her employment ties.

The longer a business has been operational, the easier it is to prove whether or not it is a strong tie i.e. whether it is a profit/loss making entity, there would be audit statements/balance sheets, number of employees hired, customer list, etc etc = Actively trading company = Reason to return home

That said, an application would be assessed for all its merits and not just for the business ties

Please let me know what is "GCMS notes" is? How it helps to get the visa? Do I need to ask the sponsor to apply for it?
