visa delay for an application submitted within canada

Hi all,
I am a student living in Canada and applied for a visa within Canada. It has been a month since I applied by paper and did not get a reply yet. It should take 10 working days (according to CIC website) for the visa to be issued. I would be grateful if any one can help me with the number and options that I should choose to reach an agent. I tried a number but I did not succeed in reaching an agent. I already booked a ticket and my flight is in 2 weeks from today

The times posted are an estimate, not a commitment. Even though the time posted states 10 working days it can take up to two months.

Start thinking of possible scenarios if the TRV doesn't arrive on time.
 
Thanks Jalex23 for the reply. Yes, you are right. the 10 days is only an estimate, but all people who I know got their visa in less than 2 weeks. I heard that If I call and provide an evidence that my flight is soon, they might speed up process.

And we have lots of threads that show that going above the estimated time is very frequent.

That is not true.

If you had the tickets and didn't submit them as evidence then you are responsible that the flight dates were not taken into account. If you didn't had the tickets at the time of submission then you can't expect CIC to accomodate their process due to last minute plans.

Be patient and plan for any outcome.

Hello guys

Just wondering if you got the visa yet! I also submitted online trv within canada on 16/6/2016 and still
No updates!! My flight is on 21sr july i wont make it now.
Do u think more time means approval?! Or they may refuse?!
Can i travel without trv and then when thy request it mail my passport to my husband here so he can get th visa and mail it back to me?
Did anyone do that or know someone who did it?!
