Hi,

I got an update on July 09th that stated that My visa application is in process.

It even stated that My Interview is not required and neither Biometrics.
Background verification was also completed but it has been 6 weeks and no update. How much time it will take more and is there anyone whom I can contact to check the status update?

Average wait times are 12 months. So they advise not to contact IRCC for update until after 12 months as before is in regular processing time

Is the 12 months time after all formalities done? Like background verification, medical , Interview etc?

Usually from receipt of the application. The 12 months includes the formalities and background checks. About 8 weeks for the sponsor approval and 10 months for the applicant review and approval.

You certainly can. Note that the chances of approval are likely low since IRCC knows you have plans to remain in Canada long term.
