Hello Guys,

I have admission for July intake for UCW, BC. When should I start my Visa process?

What are the chances for approval with this University?

Thanks,
Sree

Until May 19, 2020, there will be a suspension in the processing of some applications, and the application process has changed for

  • visitor visas (including transit visas)
  • eTAs
  • study permits
  • work permits
The processing of study permits for students will continue in anticipation of the fall study term. IRCC will continue to process applications to the extent possible. Study permit applications require biometrics, and many visa application centers that normally provide this service are closed. As a special measure, due to COVID-19, applicants are now being given 90 days instead of the standard 30 days to give biometrics. It should be noted that only students who have a valid study permit or were approved for a study permit on or before March 18, 2020, can currently travel to Canada. If you’re not eligible to travel to Canada, don’t apply during the suspension (April 29 to May 19, 2020).

Approval of study permit depends on several factors. It mostly depends on your profile. It varies from applicant to applicant. Final decision is in visa officers hands. If he is convinced with your profile, you will get study permit approval.

God Bless... Stay positive :)

They will inform you the final decision on your application. Be patient as IRCC have shortage of staff due to which visa processing is pending.
