My sister daughter. Parents are still alive. All endorsement papers are approved. We have provincial approval also. We only need visa to get her. And we don’t know what visa we should apply. Is your daughter related to you? Is she a true orphan(both parents deceased)? Was she adopted after you became a PR?

Oh we got provincial approval already. And the case is between family services in here through inter country adoption board. We did a legal process in here. Lots of people do that.Unfortunately Canada will not recognize the adoption since her parents are alive. This is considered an adoption of convenience. The adoption is likely to bring the child to Canada and nir because she is an orphan and doesn’t gave parents. It’s too bad you didn’t research this before going through the process of adopting this child. You would have realized thatshe would have never been able to go to Canada this way and the adoption wouldn’t be recognized by Canada.

You need to submit an application to sponsor her for PR.
The inter country adoption board of the origin of a child did a legal processes too through the social welfare. This is a govt to govt process.I know but I am surprised that the provincial government has not verified that the child is a true orphan knowing that IRCC will evaluate this as an adoption of convenience and will not award the child PR. If you used a lawyer did they not warn you that this will be considered an adoption of convenience?

Thanks anyway!Unfortunately this process seems to ignore the immigration component. A child that is part of an adoption of convenience will get denied PR when you try to sponsor them.
