Visa activation

Does anyone activate their visa recently in order to board on flight? I heard that if ur visa is invalid, u cannot board on plane?

Guys I need one info , I am planning to travel to Canada on 10 Jan 2021, Is it ok if i travel from USA to Canada since my college is listed in DLI and i have a quarantine plan , Enrollment status letter and Quarantine approval plan letter from college. My classes are going online and most probably winter session is also online but I want be to do my online classes from Canada instead of US so that i can get to know about the place which would be quit helpful during job hunt.

You can check the status of your visa in GC Account once its is issued. It will either say "Counterfoil valid" or "Counterfoil invalid".

it is very simple i dont know why is everyone confused. it is not a scratch card that you " activate "
do you have a visa? ----> yes or no
is your college on the dli list ----> yes or no

if both are yes then obviously you can travel.
