As Vets are not in the NOC29 list, and no one knows if it will change on 1 July 2012, one way you can come to Canada is by getting a job offer, having the employer prove that they were unable to find someone in Canada for the position and have advertised for a minimum of 14 days (LMO process). Then, armed with the LMO and approved job offer, you would apply for a work permit. Go the the CIC website for a full overview of ways to immigrate. Look on JOB BANK for postings of vacancies. Google Vet Clinics in Canada and contact people directly as well. I don't know if your specialty is large or small animals, but you may find more large animal practises in Northern BC/Alberta/Sask/Manitoba. There is also the option to come to Canada as an entrepreneur and invest in a practise. Good Luck.
