Hello All,

I am 33 years old, have a Masters from US in Computer Science and have work experience of 8 years in US in a full time job. I have not given my IELTS yet, but I am hoping to get a decent score. But when I entered my info on the CIC site, the result was that I am ineligible to apply in express entry. While I had filled out a free assessment on attorney David Cohen's website, they wrote back I have around CSR score 459. I am really confused.

Did anyone else have the same experience? Can the senior members please guide me?

Thanks.

Thanks sir for the prompt reply. I really appreciate it!

I am appearing for IELTS on Saturday. Would you be able to suggest good institutions that do the ECA?

Thanks in advance.

You can get your ECA done from World Education Services (WES), Canada.

The ineligibility by CIC was because you probably answered no for the IELTS and educational assessment questions. Get those two done, and then try again. With a CRS of 459, you will almost certainly get an ITA within a week or two of completing your profile.

IELTS is mandatory for Express Entry. If you say NO to that question, you will be ineligible.

In addition to WES, there are other organisations designated to do education credential assessment as well, you can find the list here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

Take IELTS -General ,

and do your ECA in WES , They are very fast ..
Also try to do ECA for both your bachelors and Masters.

All the Best . I would suggest you to apply for FBI PCC now itself since it takes 4 months to get ..

What is FBI PCC? What's the difference between regular PCC and FBI PCC? I have done regular PCC and haven't done FBI PCC.

FBI issues the PCCs from the US.
The thread starter indicated they studied and worked in the US, so they will need to get a PCC from the FBI.
If you did not live in the US for 6 months or more, you do not need it.

without IELTS how did he get 459? this means he just wrote the scores assuming he will get them.

I apologize. bestofluck is right. I have just appeared for the IELTS last week. I might have entered that my English competency is highest in the questionnaire and based on that they would have calculated my CSR score to be 459 :(

I am hoping I get a decent score in IELTS. Fingers crossed!
