No dear. They don't visit there physically. IRCC doesn't have enough time for this. ;D
They only contact the employer via e-mail or phone call.

Also, they don't verify employment details for each & every applicant.
If they find any doubts or want some more clarification regarding your employment, then only they might contact the employer, otherwise they don't.

Actually they do visit physically but this is very very uncommon.

someone told me that if employer by mistake give wrong information then the file is cancelled. it happened with a person. that person was done with medicals and all . just before getting pr his file was rejected

what type of details they can ask the employer? i have been asking this question because in my last company there were a lot of employes. My director is a person who forget things easily but he is nice person. its been a year since i left that job. if anyhow embassy contact my previous employer i could tell them to be alert of such type of questions.
