Hello everyone,

From the last 2 years, I have been working in a local audit firm in my hometown as an account officer. My NOC is 1111. I am now done with IELTS and WES degree assessment. Now I am working on creating my Profile on the CIC website, but I have a confusion in my mind that how they (CIC officers) will verify my work experience? As the audit firm where I work is a small company and they don’t even have a web presence or website? So, how will they verify my experience?

And what's the usual procedure that they follow to verify the work experiences? Does the email or call the employer? Or does they pay a visit to the office?

You will have to provide the letters of reference from your employers , showing your work experience .
On the letter head, with jobs & duties matching 70% of your NOC.
P.S- Dont copy as it is from NOC.

From what I've heard they can ask your local visa office to do more thorough verifications Maybe calling and emailing the employer. Out of curiosity, are you ACCA?

I am an ACCA finalist along with a Master degree in Finance and BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting.

First of all for NOC 1111 you should be a CA, CPA, CGA or CMA with some prior accountant experience. So, apply under this NOC only if you pass this criteria.

CIC verifies first on web search, if its not there then Visa officers will pay a visit to your office and will inquire about you.
They sometimes call contact details mentioned on the reference letter as well.
