Anyone knows why does it take six months to get a verification of status ? I mean they just probably have to print it and mail it back. How does it take six months to print something?
What is the purpose of the VOS? I saw on another thread that a poster was waiting on VOS before applying for PRTD; seems like a waste for a print out of basic information.

It has all the information about when and where you gained status. In my case i need it to verify the date I became pr cause I don't remember and need to enter that date on my pr renewal application. I just don't understand why does it take six months to get it . Like you said it's pretty basic info .
