Hey,

My friend from Venezuela is currently studying in Calgary but would like to move to St. John's, Newfoundland. She has her study permit and went home to see her parents in Valencia. Could someone please explain to me the level of bureaucratic processes she would have to go through to change her study permit, and would it be possible for her to get some sort of employment when she arrives in Newfoundland as I am unfamiliar with immigration law.

Thanks,

Nick

When I say that about employment I mean is it legal for her to work, because I know there are jobs available there..

1. Kindly share her complete profile
2. If she is only changing university and/or course but remains at the same level then she doesn't require any change in her Study Permit. She can study in the other university with the same permit.
3. She can work 'on campus' without any worries, but for 'off campus' work she requires a work permit which she is eligible to get after 6 months of studies in Canada.

P.S. One question: Why is she moving from Calgary to Newfoundland? Calgary is a good place and with more job opportunities.
