VD to Canada

Hi all,

My relative obtained Voluntary Departure to Canada from US immigration judge as he has tie to Canada and a valid Canadian visa. Will Canada accept him?

I don't think any of us can tell you either way. Whether he is allowed into Canada or not will be up to CBSA when he arrives at the border.

However it does seem strange the judge took a VD to Canada based upon a visa and a tie , versus to the persons home country . If Canada refuses him, they’ll just bounce him back to the USA, and he’ll be back to square one
