I have some questions about the next steps after CEC application...

1. Validity of PCC: my PCC from my home country state that they are only valid for 6 months... will CIC consider this statement and ask me for new ones even though I'm living in Canada?

2. RCMP documents: some people are being requested these: why? How to obtain them and when?

3. Medical exams: after taking the exams, who submits the results to CIC? The doctor or the applicant?

4. I lived in another country for 6 months and 5 days more than 10 years ago. I did not report this in the application, should I still try to get the PCC from this country? Or will CIC never know about this?

Thanks a lot

1. I think if your PCC issue date is with in 3 months from the date of your application you should be good.

2. RCMP is issued when they find a name match in the initial criminality check. More likely if you have a more common name

3. Doctor updates the results.

4. Yes if you stayed there after the age of 18.

CIC requires PCCs that are no older than 3 months at the time you apply. Yes, you will have to get new ones...

2. RCMP documents: some people are being requested these: why? How to obtain them and when?
You do not need them, unless CIC specifically requests them. CIC automatically conducts name-based checks on all applicants. If this is not clear (e.g. someone with the same name as you has a criminal record), then CIC will ask for the fingerprint-based RCMP document. Instructions (if you need them) can be found on the CIC website.

3. Medical exams: after taking the exams, who submits the results to CIC? The doctor or the applicant?
Doctor

4. I lived in another country for 6 months and 5 days more than 10 years ago. I did not report this in the application, should I still try to get the PCC from this country? Or will CIC never know about this?

You can wait and see if CIC requests it, but then you typically would have only 60 days to submit it.
Or, you could just do it. If you wait and CIC does request it, and it's from a country that can take longer than 60 days, then your application is in trouble.
