hello!

My aunt will arrive at the Vancouver airport on Sept. 3. I am wondering if Immigration officers will ask about how much money she has.? When I applied for her visa, I only showed my notice of assessments and that was it and I have told the visa officer that I will take full responsibility for her during her 136 days with us.

Is $100 ok just so she can buy food etc. at the airport?

She won't be asked.... but if so then answering truthfully is the best option.

BTW just travelling with that amount of money is not ideal. You can step in a problem which will prevent you from helping her and she only has 100$ in a foreign country? Try to travel with more money for any accident or emergency.

Thank you for the advise. :)

Hi....
Ask her to bring more cash on arrival just for a safe side if u can..I don't know they will ask every one, but when my mom came on supervisa it happend...she came on supervisa last month at Vancouver airport and the immigration officer asked her how much money she carrying with her..she had 500 dollar cash but they wer not satisfied..but she had 5000 dollar forex traveling card with her..they verified the receipt of exchange and then they stamped the visa for 2 years...it is not necessary to ask everyone....it was my case....

Not sure about super visa, but my parents arrived in 3rd week of July on TRV and just like you I demonstrated only my assessments during their visa application. Nothing was asked at Montreal airport. They were carrying only 20 euro and International credit cards.

20 euro is almost $30 in CAD. Thanks that's good to know.
