Validity of US FBI - PCC

Hi,

My husband will be applying my inland sponsorship next week. We moved to Canada from the US and did the FBI PCC from the US while we were in the US. The FBI PCC is dated 15 days before we left the US for Canada.

As we are finalizing the application, we were checking online on reddit for any mistakes which my lead to refusal and came across a reddit thread with a point saying “Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) invalid or dated before the last date of departure from a country”

Not sure about the legitimacy behind this point as couldn’t find anything relating to this from the official sources.

Can anyone shed light on this? Or if anyone has faced a hurdle because of this?

I am not sure about FBI PCC but PCC in general. When you are applying Inland, it's always better to get it done when you are not in the country.


In your case the last 15 days in US are unaccountable since your departure and IRCC would likely ask you to do it again.

my husband is a US citizen. His FBI was made before 1 month he left US to Canada. His PR application was approved.
