valid csq needed to enter Montreal?

we will enter Montreal in one month and our CSQs expired on july 2017 but we have the confirmation of permanent residency , do we still have to renew our CSQs to be able to enter ? kindly , assist .

Also when you for RAMQ (Medical Card) , SIN etc first time they ask for CSQ ....(pls call CIC to confirm)

I think you're right. Recently when I renewed my SIN&RAMQ I asked about this, and an officer (Service Canada) told me that to get those as a permanent resident, I need to bring my CSQ as well as proof of PR. Although, it may have been just his opinion ;)

Yeah they told me same when i renewed Medical card and SIN ... also they told me that after PR , RAMQ issue medical card only for year and its only after year they give you for longer duration card i think they just want to ensure person is sticking to province ;)....

Kindly tell me your experience upon entering Montreal with an expired csq. as the same issue is here
