USA Masters degree evaluation

I have Masters from USA, I was wondering if USA degree is recognized in Canada. Do I have to get degree from USA evaluated?

It should have same equivalency. Yes you have to get your degree evaluated.

American degrees are recognized in Canada -- but if you're applying for a government job, and they say that 'foreign degrees must be evaluated for equivalency', they might still require that. What I would do is find out what organization accredits your school, and then see if you can find evidence that that organization, not your school, is recognized in Canada. Some schools, for instance medical schools, share accreditation across North America. If you went to a recognized school like Duke or the University of Michigan, I find it hard to imagine that your education wouldn't be automatically recognized, since Canada and the U.S. used the same system.
