Hi All,

I am one of those who got effected by this executive order that ban the entry to the US for 90 days.

However the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration said that if someone hold a PR status in Canada and use his passport even if it is one of the 7 effected countries can still go to the US.

For me, I have a PR + A Canadian Travel Document, However I called Air Canada to check if I will be OK and they said that you will be at risk so not sure what to believe. It does not make sense when the CIC Minster give info that is wrong and invalid and incorrect. right?

So am I ok to travel to the US???
And what I need to tell if the CBP US customs ask me? Anyone can please advise?

Thanks

Do you already hold a valid visa to enter the US??

If not, then forget it you will never get one, and don't attempt to travel to US.

If you do hold a valid visa now, in this case nobody knows for sure how the rule affects people already holding visas. The US lawmakers don't even know for sure and they were coming out with new info every day. So Air Canada was right, you're at risk if you travel no matter what you hear on the news. If you insist on going be prepared for a very long investigation process from US immigration, and don't be surprised if ultimately you're denied entry.

I don't think anyone here can give you a definitive answer. Technically you are supposed to be good. But ultimately it's going to be up to the CBP US officer you encounter at the border.

I would personally hold off traveling for a month or so until things settle down and the rules of the executive order are clearer.

Thank you Rob_TO and scylla.

I think you are right no one knows at this point and I will take your advise and hold for the traveling for now and will see.
