Hello, I am an US citizen staying with my boyfriend in Canada. I originally entered the country with a return flight of about a month out. I would like to stay longer in Canada to pursue a common law pr with my boyfriend. My question is am I tied to my month return ticket or can I as a us citizen stay for 6 months? I have no stamp or documents is a return date as it was all done electronically at airport. I was asked how long I intended to stay is all. I appreciate any guidance as navigating all the info is confusing!

Thanks

You can stay six months. Make sure you apply to extend your stay in Canada before the six months is over.
