US visa holder with Canadian PR

Hi All,

Thanks you for being helpful with all my queries.

I have a few questions.

- I am employed in USA on L1B visa and I am applying for Canadian PR
- My company is willing to sponsor my transfer to Canadian entity

My queries are,
- Can I visit USA with my L1B visa status and travel for work there with Dual intent.
- We have clients in Canada and USA so I will reside in Canada but travel to USA for meetings and trainings with clients.
- So does my company put me on a payroll in USA or Canada?
- If I am on a Canadian payroll, can I travel to USA to meet clients not with an intent to work in USA. But I cant avoid meetings and training's.

I have heard some people with PR live in Canada and work in USA.

Can you please help?

You need to have a US B1 visa to attend trainings/meetings.

As long as you L1 visa is not expired it is irelavant that weather you enter from Canada or from your Native Country. Valid US visa with supporting paperwork will allow entry to US from anywhere.

Visa automatically does not mean maintained status and vice versa so make sure you are aware of it.
