Hey everyone!
Looking to get some insight on my current situation! I am American living in California, my boyfriend lives in Canada. We have been in a long distance relationship for almost 5.5 years. The plan was for me to move to Canada in the Spring because I would have an opportunity to work at boutique fitness studio opening up here. Just got the timeline and it seems as though I would need to have an open work permit by February. We are planning now to get married on paper to apply for sponsorship but unsure if I should apply outland or inland? We have a vacation planned in December so ideally we wouldn't start the process til then if we were going to do inland. I am aware that outland may be faster and ill the ability to travel but how soon can I work if approved. my goal would be able to work in February with the opening of the studio. Does anyone have an idea on how long the processing would take for me to obtain an open work permit if applied inland? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!
