I had a civil marriage in US with my wife (not in LAS VEGAS). We are both not US citizens. I'm in the process of applying permanent residency through CEC stream and would like to add my spouse as dependent.

Just wondering is the U.S. marriage certificate sufficient even though we are not from US? Or should we notarize our certificate?

Any comments appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. CIC recognizes US marriage certificates regardless of who got married there.

So long as you were both eligible for the marriage in the US then yes, the US certificate is valid.
