About 13 years ago I was convicted of uttering a forged instrument, specifically for paying for goods with a $51 check that someone else forged (unknown to me). I had the record expunged in 2015. From my understanding from reading a manual from CIC website that US expungements are accepted by Canada.

Is my understanding correct and do border officers accept US expungements where this will not cause me to be inadmissible? I will bring my expungement paper just in case. Thanks

I don't know how CIC deals with US expungements (I know they aren't recognized for US immigration purposes but that's not what you're concerned about).

I would definitely bring your papers with you when you come and answer any questions honestly.
