Hello!
I'm a US citizen (Detroit, Michigan) who's boyfriend lives in Windsor. I'm currently enrolled at a university and I get four months off for summer vacation but I wanted to spend those four months with him in Canada. I had a few questions regarding this.
1) I'm living on campus and will be again after the summer so I will be obtaining proof of that and my fall classes as ties back to the US. But is there a way that I can have my family as ties back to the US also just incase the IO officer would want more?
2) I am still being financially supported by my parents and get money in my bank account each week from them and my boyfriend gets a weekly salary. I've read they like to have a bank statement from me or him, but how would I go about this if I'm getting money each week and so is he? Just explain my situation?
3) If I would want to leave Canada and go back to the US for a little, would getting back into Canada be an issue? Or should I just stay the full four months without returning to the US?
4) With everything said, do you think I will have a hard time getting the allowance to stay the four months?
