My one month old son is US Citizen. While applying for FSW, I want to put him as dependent but don’t want him to lose his Citizenship as well

Any idea how should I proceed on this ?

I am sure he can travel with us with US Passport once we have the approval but don't know if I should include him in the application ($250.00 extra for dependent) or not.

Please suggest!

You must include him in the application - it's mandatory.

If you fail to include him in your application you will be committing misrepresentation (which can result in having your PR status revoked). You will also never be able to sponsor him for PR later.

Including him in the application has no impact on his citizenship.

You have no choice but to include him in the application regardless of whether he accompanies you or not. And FSW is an application for permanent residence, which does not affect his citizenship. You will have an option to convert his permanent residency to citizenship later on, but that's your choice and not mandatory. So you can include him in your application without any fear of loosing US citizenship.

and when you will be issued visas ........he will receive only landing papers for PR purpose there will not visa stamped on his passport and he will never lose his citizenship cause Canada allowed dual nationality ..... :)

Thanks guys, Appreciate all of your suggestions!!

If your son voluntarily takes on another country's citizenship, he could IN THEORY lose US citizenship. However,

(1) You can get his citizenship for him after living in Canada for a few years while he is still a minor, so he didn't voluntarily accept it.

(2) The USA very rarely revokes citizenship.

So don't lose sleep over it.
