My US born child was denied, but parents got positive NOD.

What actions do I need to take?

1. do I need to apply for a temporary status while waiting for PR?
2. Can we get his passport back? if not, can he be eligible for RTD?
3. if we travel to US with birth certificate, will he be able to return to Canada?
4. what action do I need to take on school and medical? He is 6yrs old.
Appreciate if you guide me thru and share links which is relevant.

I am in the same situation, I might not be able to answer all your questions but you can include him in your PR application. Your child will have a separate application but most of the time will be processed together. Since his/her claim was rejected so your child will not be eligible for the RTD. You can’t return back your child’s passport until getting the PR. For school and medical I think it depends on the province and your job because your child will be eligible for the provincial healthcare if you have a work permit.
