Hello.
With a valid US green card, can I stay in Canada as a visitor for 5 months? Should I report my stay?
Will my entry through the border checkpoint recorded? If not, Later how it can be proved that whether i have stayed in Canada? On the border from US to Canada, the passport will be stamped or green card will be swiped?
In the past only it was enough to show your entrance is legal and nothing was recorded. How about now?
Plz help!

Yes - your entry is recorded.

How long you are allowed to visit Canada is determined by the CBSA officer you speak to at the border.

Thanks for your reply.

Due to some family emergency, i need to stay in Canada for 5 month. On the other hand, 6 months per year i have to stay out of USA and be in my country. In order to keep my green card i must stay in USA for 6 months as well. If my entry to Canada is recorded and i stay in Canada for 5 months, only staying in USA for one month doesnt help me keep my Green card. This is a challenge right now. Dont know what to do. ???
