Hey I need help I sponsored my husband in 2013 and our case was rejected in 2014 because I had to take wel fare. I took a wel fare because I had a baby and I couldn't work I was not able to finish my 600hr at work so I didn't get EI and i don't have any family support my family and friends don't talk to me because i married a guy from anther religion now my husband dont have any status and now i can only sponsor him if i pay off all wel fare money. I don't have money to pay them i can't even find a work and my husband can't leave me n kids here alone we don't know what to do plz can some one suggest me some thing what should i do thank you

Why do you think you have to pay back the welfare money? Have you been told that you have to pay back welfare money that you received incorrectly by either CIC or the province?

Normally to sponsor you just can't be taking welfare (you don't have to pay any money back). Unfortunately there is no alternative to this and it is not possible to sponsor someone while on welfare. So you will have to get off welfare and stay off welfare if you want to successfully sponsor your husband.

If you really cannot get off welfare - then your husband will have to look into immigrating to Canada independently (i.e. on his own) through a program such as the skilled worker program. However it's very unlikely he will be able to submit an application while in Canada since he's here without status.

Option 2 is you can always immigrate to his country and get him to sponsor you there as well.
