Did you incorporate for that security job? Were you hired part-time for that job from the company? If yes for the first question, then self employed. If yes to the second, then part time job and you will have to provide, employment letter, etc. In any case, only 30 hours/ week is accounted for CEC.

What do u mean by incorporate.. And this job was only for 24 houra so do i need any letter bcoz it doent come in noc a or b category..

Many people form their own company for contract work. Have to incorporate for that. Doesn't matter if it was for 24 hours or 5 hours. If it shows up in your NOA for 2013, it has be declared in the background information. If it is declared in the background information and the job was done in the last three years before application file, you will have to provide employment letter etc.

But i think we just need employment letter of job which comes in noc a or b or relevant job...

Agreed, look at number 10 of the PDF. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.pdf

Even though it is not qualifying job experience, they will most likely ask you for the Reference letter since it falls in the period when you are counting experience towards CEC. I will recommend you to request your employer for the letter. If they don't give you, get that in writing from your employer, and you will be ok.

There is no need to provide employment letters or other evidence for non-qualifying work experience. The document checklist specifies "qualifying" work experience. However, it should of course still be mentioned in the form that requests personal history.

Yeah i also think so but what shud i write about this security job i mentioned luke part time or self employed bcoz it shows in my t4a in box 48 fee for services

That's what the document says and that is what should be provided. No reference letter for the 24 hour job. But you never know what CIC might request. I was asked to provide a reference letter for an internship that was 3+ years ago, which made no sense. I had to scramble at the last minute for the letter.

If you were hired to do the job without forming your own company, then it will be Part-time.

Thankyou so much guys i really appreciate..

That's odd... was the internship related to your qualifying work experience? There have been cases where work experience was disqualified because the applicant did not have enough prior work experience or educational credentials to do the job - perhaps they were trying to prove that you did?

Only 3 years prior to application date is considered for the qualifying period. Yes, the internship was for the same NOC code I applied for the CEC, but I had 1 year and 2 months of full time work experience for the CEC. I am a MBA from Canada and that was sufficient for NOC code 1122 to meet the education credentials :)

That answers the question of education, but what about prior work experience?

I guess the question is - are they looking into your personal history (up to ten years) to decide whether you have enough prior experience?

2 years on my PGWP and all in NOC 1122. My application was well supported. Prior to my PGWP, I was on a Closed work permit and worked for a year. But that was more than 6 years ago. The request for the letter might have been an oversight. Already got my PPR, so I guess case officer was satisfied. :)
