Hello everyone,

I have a few questions, I hope you can help me.

My wife (Canadian) is being my sponsor on my Spouse sponsorship application. I am currently living in Canada with her and we send the application in June 2011. Two weeks ago I received a letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada saying that I meet all the requirements to become a permanent resident of Canada but they need the following documents to continue with the case.
- Photocopy of my new passport.
-Medical exam.
- Police record from my country.

I had my medical exam last week, and I'm planning to send the other documents in two weeks.

My lawyer says that this is a very good new because this is the last part of the process. Is it true?
How long would it take to have my permanent resident card with me?
Are there any other things that they may ask for? (more documents, Interview, fees, etc...)

Thank you very much.

S.
