Hello,

I came to Canada on a WX-1 visa expiring on January 24, 2019. I got married to my long term girlfriend a few weeks ago so I was going to apply for visa extension and put in inland spousal application. My employer wants me to return back to Bangladesh before the 24th and submit a document the Canadian High Commission gives to you. I heard after marriage I do not have to submit that letter since I am not on the work permit and have been married to a Canadian citizen. The employer is saying he will file a police report of fruad against me. Is this true? Can he lodge a complaint against me for fraud just cause I am not going back to Bangladesh to submit the letter? Also, if I go back to submit the letter can I get TRV to come back to Canada since I am married to a Canadian Citizen? Please help me

From what I understand (very limited), a WX-1 visa is a BUSINESS VISITOR visa that your employer gets for you. Is this correct? Were you able to acquire the visa through your employer?

If it is and you refuse to go back there to fulfill your obligations with them, I suppose nothing is stopping them from reporting you to the embassy and saying you used them to be with your long term girlfriend who you married. That your intention was really to live in Canada. But how IRCC will respond to it I don’t have a clue.

Yes, I did get my business visitor visa from my employer. When I came from Bangaldesh the Canadian High Comission gave me a letter to submit upon arrival back to Bangladesh after 6 months. But since I am married and have applied for visitor visa in Canada I do not need to return correct? Any way I can get TRV from Bangladesh to come back to Canada right away if I do go back?

Do you already have a TRV and is it valid? If you already have one then yes you can fly to Canada, being able to enter will be up to the CBSA.

If not then, you can apply but there are no guarantees of approval. Marrying a Canadian does not give the “right” to be able to get a TRV.

No sorry I do not have TRV. I am just trying to figure out a way to go back home and submit the letter then come back.
