Urgent: Work Permit application after passport request

Hello Everyone,
I have one small question, I received PPR on October 3, 2018 and I have sent my passport October 4, 2018. My application is Based on CEC. I am currently working and my Work Permit is expiring on October 12, 2018. My question is should I apply for Bridging Open Work Permit or it is fine since I already have received my Passport request? I do not want to run into any complications when I will be giving my landing.
 
Your PR is not valid until you land and the PR application does not provide implied status so if you want to stay in Canada and work yes apply for BOWP. The BOWP application provides implied status. What kind of work permit do you have?
