I applied for a study permit under the university checklist on 30th July while the application reached CHC Delhi on 31st July. I received admission for January 2014 in the University of Calgary (M.Sc. course). My profile:

B-Tech (biotechnology) - IIT Madras - CGPA 8.3 (graduated in 2012)
10th- 93%
12th- 87%
Toefl (ibt)- 117/120
Working as a biotech analyst in a finance firm since 2012.

Received funding worth $49k for 2 years. Tuition cost for 2 years- $16k. Attached my bank statement with liquid funds of 3lacs. Attached a bank FD worth 5lacs and property documents as wells.

Experts, can you please assist me. I wanna know by when I might expect visa...and is the profile good enough for a hassle less visa approval. I have to plan quitting the job accordingly and it has to be done real soon.

someone please share your thoughts. I need to take a decision on my job very soon :-\

Hi Vipul. In a hurry? Are you sure you're for January 2014? Delhi Visa Office processes visa application very fast. Don't worry about your chances because it's very high given your educational background and funding. Quit your job a month before you leave for Canada. This will give you just the right amount of time to prepare. See you in the University of Calgary!

Hi DocRZ,

My company has a notice period of two months and I have lots of travelling planned after I quit the job. Now all this depends on when I get my visa. Hope it comes soon.

At least now I know someone who's gonna be there in Calgary :)
