urgent suggestions needed

Hi everybody
i have sent my application for canadian immigration under federal skilled worker program on 18th of December via Fedex. the estimated delivery time given by fedex was 24th of december. But due to some mismanagement by fedex my documents got stuck somewhere in transit and yet not reached canada. its 31st december today and yet I or fedex have not been able to get hold of the issue. and most probably they will reach after 1st of January. So anybody can suggest me what should I do now ? and my application will be entertained on the rules applicable before 31st december or not?
waiting anxiously for any good piece of advise

You can try but there is a possibility that they will return you app

any possible way to let cic know and understand the issue. as such kind of mishap can occur to anybody.

Your application will only be accepted if it physically reaches CIC by December 31st. If your application reaches CIC after December 31st for any reason, it will not be accepted and will be returned to you unprocessed. It doesn't matter why the delay happened and what explanations you provide - CIC won't accept your application after December 31st.
