URGENT SPONSORHIP QUESTION: When do we have to submit the police certificate?

Hi all

Does anyone know when we have to submit the police certificate? My agent said it could be submitted "AFTER" the immigration office gives me a letter???

But on the Immigration guide (part 3: Country specific instructions) basically said we need to submit it along with the application??

At this point I have not submitted ANYTHING yet....... Just wondering if you guys have any insight on this. I have been stressing out big time over sponsoriny my wife here... Its way more difficult than first imagined.

I haven't heard yet from them to know if I did it correctly but FBI is processing really slowly now so I submitted mine without. I didn't receive my application returned though.

Hi Tony, i think is better to do it at the time that you Summit your aplication, at least is like we did ours,

We sent our application in without it but then sent in the FBI check as soon as we got it in the mail.

We didn't wait for them to contact us. Depending on how long you have to wait for a check, I'd wait and send it in all together as there is a greater chance of docs getting misplaced if you send them separately. However, there was a 14 week processing time when we did our FBI check and we wanted to get the ball rolling.

If you send it separately, I'd wait a few weeks and then order your case notes to make sure it got attached.

I see you are applying from HK send it along with your application. Its a good idea to have all the documents they request when sending in your package .

You don't want any delays so send it in with application. Always be one step a head if you can.

You cannot apply for a Hong Kong PCC before applying. You must submit your application and wait for CIC to send you a letter of request. You then use that letter to apply for the PCC.
