URGENT - Rescheduling of Oath since out of Canada - What constitutes as proof of return to Canada?

Hi All,

I had received an oath invite for April 12, 2023 but I had to reschedule it since I am out of Canada at the moment. I sent them an email and got the automated reply which said that they can only reschedule me for another ceremony when I provide them with a proof that I am back in Canada.

However, in my case that won't be possible as I am currently pregnant and planning to have the baby outside Canada where me and my husband are currently living. Husband is on fixed term work contract outside Canada post which we'll return to Canada permanently but at the moment I can't commit to fixed dates of being present in Canada for a longer period due to frequent scheduled doctor appointments. I can only give them slots between my two appointments. I mentioned all this in my email but still they replied saying that they need proof of return to Canada in order to reschedule.

Any idea what could be done in this case? Can I just send them travel tickets for the earliest date and hope to be rescheduled in the next couple of months since travel wont even be possible in the later months? Please help.

Call the call centre and ask what is proof because they will literally cancel your application and tell you to reply next time. proof you are back in Canada should mean you are here a STAMP FROM CBSA in your passport at the airport IN CANADA IS PROOF.
dates, when you return, is literally not proof lol anyone can buy a ticket, also they will do an interview with you b4 the ceremony anyways based on how long you are gone this will 90% trigger an interview b4 they even schedule again

Also, be aware that you have to fulfill your residency obligations while citizenship is being processed.
