Urgent: Received Medicals and Passport submission mail from CHC. But I am in USA

I have applied for Canadian PR under Federal Skilled workers program in April 2010. Few days back I got e-mail from Canadian High Commission, New Delhi to submit fresh PCC, Medicals and original Passport with other documents (educational certificates and travel docs) within 45 days. Now the issue is, I am in USA along with my wife since August 2012 and it is not possible to submit the original passport to New Delhi while sitting in USA. I am also not able to travel to India just for passport submission as me and my wife are working here in USA. Kindly suggest possible ways. I am ok if I have to transfer the case from India to here in USA (as I will be here untill 2015). But is it possible? Looking forward for your guidance.

Looks your situation is not favorable at this final stage of your immigration process. If you are unable to travel to India then you have to find a reliable person ( with your written authorization to carry your passports )going to India, who should submit passports to CHC and also bring the passports back after visa issue. Some times the passports may delay at CHC. If it is possible, it would work.

Please share your noc and the date you received medical req on. Appreciate your reply.

A friend of mine is in Denmark along with his spouse and a daughter.... They are carrying Nepalese Passport... He got medical in November 8... He sent medical from Denmark... I think you can proceed from USA... You can send Passport to New Delhi through your trusted relative in India. .... However, if you are well settled in USA... there is no meaning of migrating to Canada....

If I am sending my passports to India, then what will be my proof of Indian Citizenship in USA. Is it legal to stay in USA without passport? In case of emergency also I will not be able to show that I am an Indian citizen. Please suggest.
