hi Qorax,
i am a beginer and currently collecting documents.please help.

Q1: my PCCs hopefully will be ready with the ielts at the time of initial application.shall i submit the PCC with the initiall application?
Q2: Will CIO return the original supporting documents likle; transcripts, ielts,PCC,bank statements, experience certificates ?
Q3: how can i know if 2151 cap is reched or not at the time of sending the application?
Q4: i have a salaried account .i can send the statement showing the required money saved progressively since 6 months which means that i only had 10-15 % money saved 6 months before the application and 100% required money at the time of application.does this work.
Q5: what shall be the validity of my current indian passport at the time of the initial application CIO.

Q1: my PCCs hopefully will be ready with the ielts at the time of initial application.shall i submit the PCC with the initiall application?
>> NO. u r not required to send the PCC during initial submission at CIO.

Q2: Will CIO return the original supporting documents likle; transcripts, ielts,PCC,bank statements, experience certificates ?
>> They say YES, BUT only we need to send is the IELTS original. u dont need to send true original transcripts, and experience certificates. What they are asking for the originals are MUCH DIFFERENT than our true originals.

Q3: how can i know if 2151 cap is reched or not at the time of sending the application?
>>u've gotta to check the cic.gc.ca website updates.

Q4: i have a salaried account .i can send the statement showing the required money saved progressively since 6 months which means that i only had 10-15 % money saved 6 months before the application and 100% required money at the time of application.does this work.
>>regarding the POF, u have to make them assure that the money is urs, earned by u and u have at least that specific amount of money in the bank.

Q5: what shall be the validity of my current indian passport at the time of the initial application CIO.
sorry, the question is not so clear here.

please suggest.

thanks lamhey,
i mean by passport validity as follows:
my current indian passort is expiring in jan 2012, that is in next 11 months.i intend to file my initial application in april 2011 which means the validity of my passport will be more 10 months .
is this acceptable by CIO or else shall i get my passort extended before filing my initial application to CIO.

thanks
dyaan

It is OK to use current passport. Once applied you may go for new passport and update the local VO on a later date

According to the latest guidelines on the CIC web site, and also their pdf guidelines, they STRONGLY ADVISE that you include your PCC with your application.

It is not required but if you have ordered it already you may as well include it. It will almost certainly be more than 3 months before visa office will contact you, by which time the PCC will not be accepted. However, if you included it with your application then it has a 12 month lifespan from the date of issue.

I think CIC made the PCC optional at application stage so those applicants in countries where PCC takes a long time to get are not unfairly disadvantaged with regards getting their application in before the cap limit is reached. But if you are able to get PCC in a timely manner then I would certainly advise including it - this will save time once your application gets to the visa office.

Hi,

As already [correctly] adviced here by others...

Q1: my PCCs hopefully will be ready with the ielts at the time of initial application.shall i submit the PCC with the initiall application?
Ans: PCCs aren't required with the initial submission... but, if u do it'd be wise... u'd probably save on some BF'Ds.
Q2: Will CIO return the original supporting documents likle; transcripts, ielts,PCC,bank statements, experience certificates ?
Ans: Yes, the Transcripts will come back 'automatically'... but the others might not. U'd require to request for them separately [only PCC & IELTS]. The Exp Certs & Bank Statement will not be returned. And yes, u need to send those originals as well.
Q3: how can i know if 2151 cap is reched or not at the time of sending the application?
Ans: The 29 NOC list keeps getting updated@the CIC website... u need to frequently keep a track of that. BTW, apply now!
Q4: i have a salaried account .i can send the statement showing the required money saved progressively since 6 months which means that i only had 10-15 % money saved 6 months before the application and 100% required money at the time of application.does this work.
Ans: Yes, perfectly alright. Just ensure that there r no windfalls during the submitted period.
Q5: what shall be the validity of my current indian passport at the time of the initial application CIO.
Ans: A couple of months validity is Ok. As u renew it - update your VO.

Good luck!

Qorax
