Dear

It says on cic website for newcomers, that after landing you can visit the site and inform them if you have to leave canada before 6 weeks for urgent processing.

They say they will reply in a day or 2 by email if they can, and they might ask one to collect the card in person in that case.

Has anyone gone through this ? Is it worth it to try for this urgent processing if one is going for short landing ?

If cic says it is unable to do urgent processing would it still ask us to collect the PR card in person ?

thanks

1. Where did you find that statement?
2. There is no urgent processing for the initial PR card.

You seem to be right PIMM

For initial application there is no urgent processing, they meant people who reapply . . .

Thanks
