I have applied for FSW PR visa in the year 2007 (including my wife as a dependent). After a long wait for almost 5 years, I got a response from the Visa office providing me an option to apply for PNP PR visa as the Canadian government is looking at closing the old applications. In the meanwhile, my wife applied for FSW PR in the year 2010 (with me as the dependent) just to ensure that we have an application in process.
Last Novemeber, I got a mail from Visa office accepting my PNP application for Ontario. Post that I got one more mail from Visa office in the month of December 2012 recommending me for 2 years Open Work Permit for the province of Ontario. I have submitted all my documents alongwith passports to the NDVO in Jan 2013.
To complicate things further, NDVO responded to my wife's application in Jan 2013 for medicals. Since my passports (alongwith my wife) is currently with NDVO for OWP visa, I am unable to send my medical reports. Also, my intention is to go to Canada immediately once i receive my OWP.
I would specifically like to hear from anyone in the group if we can send a correspondence mail to NDVO stating that we will submit our passports once they are ready for visa stamping and not now along with the medical reports.
Any information on this is of great help.
