Hi Experts - I have a question:-

If I get an ITA, I would need a PCC from FBI. However, FBI takes over 3 months to complete PCC but CIC requires application to be filed within 60 days. As I am not sure when I'll get an ITA, I dont want to start PCC in advance. How to deal with this situation ?

Thanks !

If you have a high enough score it's better that you start the FBI PCC process asap. Even if you don't get the FBI PCC you can file a LoE along with your application and attach the mailing and delivery receipt along with it. CIC will give you time to turn in the FBI PCC as they are aware that it takes time.

Hi I have been on tourist visa to canada, but duration of my stay was less than 6 months do I still need to apply for PCC in Canada or it's fine

Normally, people attach LOE and officers may wait.

What is your score? You can guess if your ITA going to be soon, if it 460+

PCC is required only if you stayed in any country more than 6 months ....

CIC states that your PCC should be dated after you left the country that you stayed for 6 or more months. If you are awaiting for ITA, just apply straight away. If you intentionally don't want to start in advance, your processing time may be impacted.
