Hello people please help me,

I have done a 2 year course from Humber college but I received my work permit only for 16 months..

What should I do so they give me 3 years work permit,
Should I appeal in CIC or reaaply

Please guide me and help me soon

Yes I did not take break and finish my studies in 16 months
My passport expires in August 2013

Because definitely your PGWP expiry date will be same as your passport date.
1. Apply for passport renewal
2. Then for PGWP

My course is for 2 years...I did not take any break and finished the course in 16 months....it was started in Jan 2012 and finished in April 2013....my visa expires in Aug 2013
...I applied for open work permit and I got only for 16 months instead of 3 years....how should I appeal back to CIC...willthey change to 3 years and give me a new work permit....please help

MY PASSPORT EXPIRES IN 2020

If the official length of your program of study is:

1.less than eight months
you are not eligible for this program

2.less than two years but more than eight months
you may get a work permit for a period no longer than the length of your program of study (for example, if you studied for nine months, a work permit may be issued for a period of nine months)

3.two years or more
a work permit may be issued for three years

**** You have been placed in 2 category.
Loads of people who completed program in 16 months are granted 16 months PGWP in past.
I think it depends on your luck.
My friend just got his work permit of 3 year [ he completed the program in 16 months ]
You can give a try by applying again. But i don't think it will be helpful.

And please next time don't write in Block letters. It is considered as rude and harsh.

Read your own posts. You have twice stated that your passport expires August 2013, once on this thread and once on your other thread.

As aman singh said, no need for the caps lock, especially when you are causing the confusion yourself.
