Hi,
my study permit expires tomorrow, i sent my extension online on Aug 31. but i made a minor mistake, i put in the wrong date in “I wish to stay Canada until...", it should be Sep 30, 2012, but i put in Sep 30, 2011 - so it's exactly the same as my expiration date. but everything else should be fine, i submitted my offer of admission which has school start date and program length on it (one year program starts this Sep.).

i just called immigration office, but they only provided me two options: wait for the result, or withdraw and reapply - but everything has to be done by tomorrow.

Does any of you have had similar situation? I heard they hardly rejected study permit renewals unless you had "bad records", but I've also heard someone got rejected just because forgetting the signature at the end of his paper application!

Please give me some advice!

Hi,

Are you sure if its a minor problem ? After reading your post, I felt like whole earth angle shift by 1 degree from east to west. :)

1. I do not think if they are even going to open your file by 30th September. (Considering the fact that you put off papers on 30th August.)

2. Your offer letter would be on record to show all details. In short, no problem for you.
