Hi. Can someone please help me in telling about processing time for TRV based on H&C cases? I have applied for temporary stay for my wife based on H&C basis 8 months ago but didnot get any response yet. I have just got her file processing number so far.I have already applied for federal nomination last week after I got my AINP. Please suggest me on this.

ok this is a bit confusing.
Usually you ask for one of the following:
1. TRV extension
2. TRP
3. SOWP - if you have legal status here other than a visitor
4. PR under H&C grounds.
5. Spousal sponsorship for PR (only if you are PR or citizen).

Now the first 3 are much faster than 8 months (1-4 months max). They will also give here implied status if that is possible with her current visa. Also these options are usually not bound with any kind of H&C (maybe except of TRP)

Last 2 option is the one that can take longer (especially H&C PR). Also be aware that those 2 will not give her implied status and she needs to ask for other type of TRV as well.

Now what exactly did she apply for?
