Hi all,

Per the requirement, we did our pre-entry COVID test in Kansas City and left for Toronto by car. But the results are still not available and I have been stuck in Detroit hotel for 2 days.

As per the website, the test needs to be conducted within 72 hours so I only have one more day remaining out of those 72 hours. After that will the results be inadmissible? I do not know what to do. Any help will be appreciated.

You would need to redo the test if that happens.

I would consider taking action now and finding a place in Detroit where you can get the test done.

Good luck.

Thanks @scylla
Booked appointments for me and my wife.

Also, my ITN says Date of Export is 29th March 2021. Does that mean it has expired and I need a new one?

Sorry - don't know the answer to the second question. You could try calling CBSA.

You might be done with your process, but adding info for future readers.

The Date of Export on ITN is an expected date. You are expected to export on that date, but it is not mandatory. US CBP will not question you about being late than your ITN DoE date. I exported my car a day later than the expected date.

Anyone can correct me on this, but as far as I know, once you complete your 72-hour intimation time, you have a 6 months to export your car. See e-mail contents from CBP's reply:
This e-mail response serves as your confirmation that CBP has received your vehicle export information. You may export the vehicle 72 hours from receipt of this e-mail during regular business hours.
If you receive a response from us – Please do not resubmit the same VIN/Serial number – as it will be kept on file for 6 months.
